Roxas has blond, spiky hair that sticks up at the top, thick locks hanging down on either side of his jaw while the majority of it somehow points towards the right as though he's suffered from a bad case of whiplash. Either because he's not paying enough attention, or perhaps because he's feeling miffed at the time, he shows a bit of a reserved expression, appearing threatening, uncaring, or to some people even beautiful. Further adding to his 'mystique' are Roxas's eyes—they are a striking, deep shade of blue.

Normally, he dresses in a white zip-up t-shirt checkered with black around the shoulder and chest-area, red on the interior, with another zippered shirt underneath with a silver, shuriken-shaped tab fastened to said zipper. His pants are black in colour until they hit mid-thigh and turn to a light khaki shade, as though he’s sewn or pinned new, baggier leggings to the first pair of pants. Occasionally, he wears the uniform of the Organization XIII: a hooded black cloak with a zipper starting at the throat and ending at the ankles.

Though he takes on a generally apathetic mien, Roxas is driven almost solely by emotion, or the ghost of what may have once been this 'emotion-thing,' making him both brave and rash. Yes, he can be cold towards some, but it is usually those who insult or condescend to himself or the undeserving that he outwardly dislikes. He is otherwise quite warm and comfortable – even playful – with anyone to get on his good side (admittedly, Roxas can be a bit harsh with certain individuals regardless of whether they're a friend).

What's left of Roxas's sense of humor, meanwhile, is rather caustic when he's moody, silly and simple-minded in those rare times when he's in a cheerful state of mind. He has moments of air-headedness as well, most often because he gets so deeply lost in thought that he forgets to do things, loses something important, or accidentally throws an object at somebody he hadn't noticed initially. In essence, these 'deep thoughts' have caused him, more than once, to seek answers out of sheer curiosity. The outcomes of such ventures weren't always positive, however, and Roxas has betrayed many people because of this, sometimes unintentionally.

Weapons/Abilities: Despite being what one might call 'dark' at times, Roxas uses light magic. He wields two weapons called Keyblades—Oblivion and Oathkeeper. To put it simply, they are much like a sword, with a hilt and guard, but with a long blade shaped rather curiously like a key. Oblivion is black; crudely yet beautifully crafted, while Oathkeeper is white, gracefully built and almost the complete opposite of its darker counterpart. These powers of light can increase Roxas's speed and agility by large amounts, furthering the brute strength he uses to take down his enemies in one-on-one combat, or with numerous opponents.

Weaknesses: His stubbornness. Roxas hates being left in the dark, or being perceived as something more or less than what he is. He is thus willing to give up almost anything to reach what he desires—and perhaps to prove himself in doing so. Another, smaller weakness might also be Roxas's habit of being too apathetic or absent-minded during situations that would be deemed emotional, if any other person were placed in his stead.

so much hate for the ones we love;

Roxas was born into a world of neither darkness nor light; a world of the Organization XIII. A group of 'Nobodies' like him, they sought to find their missing hearts, and to be whole again. He was named 'Roxas', an anagram of his 'other', Sora, otherwise known as the Key of Destiny and wielder of a rare weapon called the Keyblade. He was brought into existence when Sora was turned into a Heartless (a shadow-creature which feeds on hearts) in Hollow Bastion. Rather than staying in this form, the human boy was returned to his original self with the power of his own heart and a friend's, causing the newly-born Roxas to lose all memories of ever being a part of the young hero.

After being found and named by Xemnas in Twilight Town and brought into the Organization, Roxas befriended number VIII, Axel, and it sometimes appears that he gained a vaguely sardonic sense of humor from being so close to the other Nobody. But because he longed to know the secrets of his previous life, Roxas abandoned his best friend as well as the Organization so he could find out why he of all people was chosen as master of the Keyblade.

While in the World That Never Was, he was confronted by a young man by the name of Riku, who chose to fight against the blond for the sake of helping Sora wake up from his year-long slumber. Roxas emerged victorious, but the older boy quickly realized his ability to change forms using the powers of darkness. By the end of their battle, Riku brought Roxas to DiZ, where he was placed in a virtual Twilight Town within Sora's memories, erasing all knowledge of the Organization and giving him a new identity to throw off any possible pursuers.

However, this false life did not last long. While the so-called witch, Naminé worked on unscrambling Sora’s memories, Roxas began to see his 'other' in dreams, disrupting the peaceful life he’d been leading in the simulated reality. Eventually even Axel came to find him as he accessed this false Twilight Town in order to rescue his best friend. But despite his attempts, Roxas ended up merging with Sora again to be used in DiZ’s plans to overthrow Organization XIII.

After the fall of Organization XIII, Roxas and Naminé made a promise that they would never fade; that they would live on within Sora and Kairi both as part of them and as individual beings. This makes one believe that it is possible for these Nobodies to be detached from their 'Somebodies', and live as they once had.
